Samsung laptop shames Apple’s MacBooks in battery endurance test
As per a latest report by Consumer Reports, an American nonprofit consumer organization (via BusinessKorea), Samsung (and LG) laptops are overall far better when compared to the Apple MacBook.
Notably, the 2021 model of the LG Gram 17 and the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 are the best laptops in terms of battery life. The LG Gram 17 stood first in the 17 to 18-inch range. The Galaxy Book Pro 360, meanwhile, came on top in the 12 to 13-inch range, which is a bit surprising since it is a 2-in-1 laptop with not much real estate for cramming in a large battery.
The report claims that with the Galaxy Book Pro 360, they could get 20 hours of web browsing and 12 hours of 4K playback. Thanks to this tremendous performance, Consumer Reports said that the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 was “an all-rounder with a powerful battery and portability.” The Apple MacBook failed to rank first in any of the categories.
Insider industry sources reveal that Samsung, thanks to customer loyalty and value-for-money products, has strengthened its base in the premium laptop market, sliding between Chinese-made laptops and Apple’s MacBook.
