Samsung is rolling out stable Android 10 for the Galaxy S9 series

Samsung’s Galaxy S9 flagships were announced nearly two years ago with Android 8 Oreo and Samsung’s Experience 9.0 on top. Since then both devices got updated to the newer One UI with the Android 9 Pie and now users are treated to their second big update with the official stable build of Android 10 alongside One UI 2.0.

The update is currently live in Germany, the Netherlands and the US for those on Android 9 Pie. Users who are currently on the One UI 2.0 beta are yet to receive the stable update but that should change in the coming days.

The new firmware update ranges between 1.8 and just under 2 GB in size and also brings the January security patch. Users are treated to the enhanced system-wide dark mode, new full-screen gestures, a built-in screen recorder and the improved privacy and notification control. The update should spread over to more regions in the coming weeks.
