Samsung is rolling out February 2022 security update to Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Fold 5G in Europe

Samsung has started rolling out its latest security update to the original Galaxy Fold. The new update is currently available in European markets, and we expect the South Korean firm to expand the update to more regions over the next few days.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Fold has firmware version F900FXXS6GVA1, and it is available in Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Nordic countries, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Ukraine. The 5G variant of the Galaxy Fold is getting the new update with firmware version F907BXXS6GVA1 in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

The new software update includes the February 2022 security patch that fixes over 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It could also contain device stability improvements and general bug fixes.

If you are a Galaxy Fold or Galaxy Fold 5G user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
