Samsung Home Up gets support for One UI 4.1.1 update

Samsung’s Home Up module for the Good Lock platform is getting a fairly small but important update to version 2.0.01.29. The latest version is not very exciting for Home Up users looking for a payoff right now, but it guarantees compatibility with Samsung’s upcoming One UI firmware update.

Home Up version 13.0.00.43 adds support for One UI 4.1.1, which should be coming with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 next month. In addition, the latest Home Up version fixes the number error of Direct Share, says the changelog.

Unfortunately, Home Up is still not available in every market, as Good Lock remains region-locked – no pun intended. However, if you look forward to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Z Flip 4 and you’re a Home Up user, you can rest easy knowing that the Good Lock module will be fully supported by One UI 4.1.1 at launch.

In case you’re wondering, Home Up is a Good Lock extension that enables new customization options for the UI. One UI 4.1.1 could be focused on the foldable form factor, but not much is known at this point. In any case, Home Up version 13.0.00.43 acts as a reminder that Samsung will soon release not only a new version of One UI but also a couple of new foldable phones. Stay tuned for August 10!
