Samsung Global Goals updated with new payment methods, more features
Samsung’s Global Goals app is going to improve with new features by the end of the month. The company is updating the app with support for more payment options, new inspirational lock screen wallpapers, and several UX changes such as streamlined notifications and Facts and Figures on each Goal.In addition to these changes, Samsung Global Goals is getting an exclusive feature in South Korea, allowing customers there to learn about the Korean Sustainable Development Goals directly through the Global Goals app.Users will be able to donate via Samsung Pay and Google PayEver since Global Goals was introduced alongside the Galaxy Note 10 series, users have been able to watch ads on their smart devices to support various causes around the globe by donating 100% of the ad’s revenue. With the latest update, Global Goals users will be able to donate additional money to support causes directly, either through Samsung Pay or Google Pay. Payments will be faster thanks to biometric authentication, making it easier for people around the world to donate and support charities.
To make Global Goals that much better, Samsung also recently announced that 100% of ad revenue generated by users watching ads will be matched by itself. In other words, 200% of ad revenue from Global Goals will be donated by Samsung to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).New inspiring lock screen wallpapers and Charge Screen adsNew lock screen wallpapers featuring inspirational quotes and visuals are also being added as part of the latest Global Goals update. More so, the existing ‘Charge Screen ads’ feature is going to prompt new users to join the platform whenever they plug in to charge their phones. These prompts can be disabled through a new toggle in the Global Goals Donate tab.
Samsung Global Goals is a great app that lets users support charitable causes around the world by doing nothing more than watching a few seconds of ads. With the addition of new payment methods for donations and new ways of supporting causes through ads, Samsung is doing a fantastic job of making it even easier for its customers to contribute.
