Samsung Galaxy Z Flip update improves Flex Mode for the camera

Samsung’s having a big day for updates today. Alongside the One UI 2.1 release for the Galaxy Note10 Lite, the company has also started sending out a new software version for the Galaxy Z Flip.

This brings with it the April security patches, but also enhances Flex Mode for the camera. Before when using the built-in camera app in Flex Mode, the viewfinder would always be on the top side of the phone, with the controls on the lower side. But after you install the new version, you’ll be able to flip that (excuse the pun). You just need to double tap on the preview window when you are in Flex Mode to shift it to the other side of the device.

Flex Mode turns on in specific apps when you hold the Z Flip with its screen at an angle of 90-degrees, or close to that.

The new software version is F700FXXU1ATD6 and it’s currently been spotted rolling out in Italy. It should quickly make its way to other European countries, perhaps within a few days. Eventually it should get a worldwide release, of course.
