Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Golf Edition is on the green in the UK
Samsung has released the Galaxy Watch 5 Golf Edition in the UK. The wearable is available online today and will be on sale via select retailers later this week. The Golf Edition smartwatch comes in three variants, all with Bluetooth-only connectivity (no LTE), and they all have a few unique features for golf enthusiasts.
As the name implies, the Galaxy Watch 5 Golf Edition is a special edition smartwatch designed for golfers. It has the same hardware as the regular Galaxy Watch 5 but comes with a unique color scheme and golf-themed watch face. More importantly, the watch ships with a free lifetime subscription to Smart Caddie. The app offers in-depth information about more than 40,000 golf courses worldwide.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Golf Edition is available online from Samsung’s website in the UK, and the company says that more retail partners will offer the wearable starting January 26.
The Golf Edition series consists of the Galaxy Watch 5 (40/44mm) and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (45mm). The Pro model has a thicker bezel (which doesn’t rotate) and offers more battery life than the standard model (~80 hours on a single charge).
The Pro model also has a few unique fitness features that are not available in the standard models, such as Turn-by-Turn Directions for cycling and hiking, Route Workout with GPX file support for importing and exporting, and Track Back. The non-Pro models have an aluminum body, whereas the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is wrapped in titanium.
UK prices for the Galaxy Watch 5 Golf Edition start at £319 for the 40mm model. The larger 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 variant costs £339, and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Golf Edition is available for £479.
