Samsung Galaxy M31s goes on sale in India on August 6, new renders leak

Yesterday we found out that the Galaxy M31s would be made official in India before the end of this month, with it becoming available to buy sometime in August. Today a new report gives us the exact date on which it will go on sale: August 6. That’s when you’ll find it at Amazon and Samsung’s own online store.

The price is still rumored to be around INR 20,000, for what it’s worth. Two new renders of the Galaxy M31s have also been outed, and the one showing the back seems to have a weird omission: a fingerprint sensor over there. This may mean that the M31s will come with an in-display scanner, but nothing’s certain yet.

On the other side, the centered hole-punch for the selfie camera is obvious, replacing the waterdrop notch design that the Galaxy M31 came with. The M31s is rumored to share the huge 6,000 mAh battery of its predecessor, and sport a 64 MP main rear camera, joined in the L-shaped island on the rear by an 8MP ultrawide, a 5 MP depth sensor, and a 5 MP macro lens.

The phone will still be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM in one version (though there will be additional options). The base model should get 64GB of storage, expandable via microSD. The M31s will run Android 10 with One UI 2.1 on top and charge at a 15W rate.
