Samsung Galaxy becomes Team Gullit’s first shirt sponsor for FIFA 22

Samsung is no stranger to the world of eSports. The company managed its own team for a few years, and it continues sponsoring various other eSports teams and events every year. Samsung recently found another eSports partner in the Team Gullit FIFA academy, whose jerseys will now have a sponsor for the first time.

The sponsor — Samsung Galaxy — will be featured on Team Gullit’s FIFA 22 kit, as seen in the promotional video below. Samsung Galaxy is the first shirt sponsor for Team Gullit, the latter of which was also the first professional and independent FIFA academy in the world when it was launched at the beginning of 2018 by none other than football star Ruud Gullit.

Team Gullit offers mentorship and training for professional FIFA players. It also helps players combine school and gaming, and it teaches young players how to build a personal brand. There’s also an official Team Gullit store where fans can buy jerseys. The gear sponsored by Samsung Galaxy will likely be available for purchase from the store throughout the 2022 season. The virtual Team Gullit kit will be available in the FIFA 22 video game from October 21.

As Team Gullit’s first shirt sponsor, Samsung is happy to “contribute to a new generation of FIFA Players through the FIFA academy and countless activities,” said Gerben van Walt Meijer, Head of Marketing at Samsung Netherlands (via AD).
