Samsung confirms the Galaxy S24 will be an ‘AI Phone’

Samsung has been on a trademarking spree lately, not just for products coming in a few months but also for those that are almost two years away, such as the Galaxy S25 or the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Samsung has also filed trademark applications for other categories of products, such as smart rings and AR glasses in the last few months, and it’s not done. Our friends over at GalaxyClub have discovered a number of other applications in different countries, including one that confirms the Galaxy S24 will be marketed as an AI Phone.

Galaxy S24 being an AI Phone is as clear as day at this point

SamMobile exclusively reported on Samsung’s plans to focus on artificial intelligence with its next flagship, and Samsung confirmed that soon after by announcing the Galaxy AI experience, which would debut with the Galaxy S24 lineup and bring a number of AI features.

To show just how serious it is about the whole AI aspect, the company has filed trademark applications for names such as AI Phone and AI Smartphone. These names are a little too generic so Samsung might not be granted these trademarks, but, again, it’s an excellent indication of how AI is going to be the most highlighted buzzword when the Galaxy S24 series is announced in San Jose, California on January 17.

Samsung is also hoping to secure some other trademarks, including trademarks on logos and names for things such as Magic Pixel, Flex Magic, and Flex Magic Pixel for augmented reality products, smartphone displays, and televisions, with a special focus on AR glasses.
