Samsung brings limited-edition Alex Proba art to Bespoke home appliances

Samsung has been focusing on customizable consumer electronics and home appliances over the past couple of years. With its lifestyle TVs (like The Frame and The Serif) and Bespoke lineup of home appliances, the company offers customers a way to arrange and customize their appliances the way they like and suit their interiors.

Now, the South Korean has partnered with designer Alex Proba to bring a collection of exclusive designs for Bespoke appliances. These limited-edition panels are on display at Samsung 837 in New York and the company’s flagship Samsung Store in Seoul, South Korea. Customers can buy these Alex Proba edition panels in the US.

Alex Proba is known for her artwork that takes inspiration from nature, happiness, and positive memories. She uses a wide range of colors and shapes in her artwork, and the same can be seen on exclusive art panels designed for Samsung’s Bespoke appliance lineup. She is also the founder of Brooklyn and Portland-based design studio StudioPROBA.

Proba’s exclusive designs can be used as panels for Samsung’s 4-Door Flex refrigerators. Her designs can be experienced at the Samsung 837 showroom, where visitors can enjoy various experiences such as VR exhibitions, live music performances, and design installations at the Bespoke My Home stages.

MH Bu, Head of Design Team, Digital Appliances, Samsung Electronics, said, “Our Bespoke collaborations serve as a gateway for exploring aspirational design, transforming standard home appliances into art. It’s always exciting partnering with artists to see what their creativity will bring to the Bespoke line and how it can reimagine home designs around the world.
