Samsung brings a new challenge to PUBG Mobile players

Samsung is challenging PUBG Mobile players to jump into the latest version of the game and survive for 23 minutes in one of the new modes that were added with update 2.5.

Last month, in celebration of its 5th anniversary, PUBG Mobile received update 2.5, which brings a new themed game mode, “Imagiversary,” allowing players to enjoy exclusive anniversary scenery and items while building creative spaces without restraint.

Two new environments were added with the Imagiversary update. First, there’s a 110 x 110 large area called Imagination Plaza, which contains lots of smaller crates and one large crate in the center. The latter drops advanced supplies that players can obtain.

Secondly, there’s a medium-sized 60 by 60 area called Imagination District. It contains supply rewards, and once players occupy certain locations, they can loot these crates for a small amount of advanced supplies.

The Imagiversary-themed gameplay is supported on two maps: Erangel and Livik. The update also brings three new items and one new feature:

  • Block Cover: Found in crates. Once used, this item creates a wall out of blocks, which players can use as cover, a bridge, or an elevator.
  • Portable Trampoline: Can be found on the ground or looted from crates. This item can bounce the player into the air.
  • Dual-Purpose Cannon: Found on the ground or in crates. This item can launch throwables further away than normal. And if placed on the ground, it can also launch the player at a medium distance.
  • Supply Converter: This is a new feature available at the beginning of a match. Players can use the device in their backpacks to get new supplies by converting them 2-for-1. New supplies players can get include new items along with typical Classic Mode supplies and items from past seasons.

Samsung challenges PUBG Mobile players

Through Twitter, Samsung Mobile US is now challenging PUBG Mobile players to drop into the game and partake in the new Imagiversary mode between April 10 and 16.

The challenge is to survive 23 minutes in the new Imagiversary mode, however, Samsung hasn’t mentioned anything about prizes. Nevertheless, it’s interesting how the survival window is 23 minutes long, seemingly hinting at the phone maker’s new Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung device users can download PUBG Mobile from the Play Store or the Galaxy Store. The game works on a variety of devices, but flagship phones such as the Galaxy S23 offer the best experience, both in terms of graphical fidelity and performance.
