Saints Row: The Third Remastered is coming to Xbox Series X|S

One of the best game remasters in the last few years is undoubtedly Saints Row: The Third Remastered, which breathed new life into the 2011 game that combined aspects of Grand Theft Auto with even more chaos and humor. While the game is already worth a play on its own, Deep Silver has announced today that Saints Row: The Third Remastered is being upgraded for free on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5 on May 25, 2021.

The next-gen (current-gen) upgrade for Saints Row: The Third Remastered looks to be a pretty thorough update, and will include improvements like:

  • Greater performance settings similar to the PC edition
  • Improvements to lighting, texture resolution, visual effects, and more
  • Faster loading speeds
  • Up to 4K at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5
  • Up to 1080p at 60 FPS or upscaled 4K at 30 FPS on Xbox Series S
  • Free upgrade via Smart Delivery on Xbox
  • Activities support on PS5, with a Saints Row purple for the light on DualSense

Saints Row: The Third Remastered should be a visual treat on Xbox Series X|S, and gives fans of the series another reason to revisit Steelport and cause some mayhem.

Not only is Saints Row: The Third Remastered being upgraded for next-gen consoles, it’s also getting an expanded release on PC. On May 22, 2021, Saints Row: The Third Remastered will be available on Steam and GOG on top of the Epic Games Store.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered was already a fantastic game well-worth playing, but its continued support with an upgrade on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 might make it one of the best Xbox games right now.
