Ryzen CPUs appear in leaked Alienware m15 spec sheets
Alienware m15 gaming laptops have been known to rely on 10th-gen Intel CPUs. However, according to a purported leak from Rogame on Twitter (via Tom’s Guide), it seems those days are over. If the leak turns out to be true, it looks like new m15 models are on the horizon and will utilize AMD’s Ryzen CPUs.
The high-end model of the supposedly leaked Alienware m15s will include an Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD. It’s reported there will be another m15 on offer that features the same specs except for the CPU, which will be a Ryzen 7 5800H. At the lowest end of the leak’s m15 model configurations is the one equipped with an RTX 3060 GPU, Ryzen 7 5800H CPU, and 256GB SSD.
The third model, with its weaker specs and less storage, will likely have the lowest price by a large margin. Costs are still unknown, though, since the gaming laptops have yet to be formally confirmed or announced.
If the leak turns out to be true, it’ll be quite a change of pace for m15 enthusiasts used to rigs featuring Intel-Nvidia CPU-GPU combos. Still, the AMD Ryzen CPUs on offer here are nothing to scoff at. And when paired with Nvidia RTX 3060 and 3070 graphics cards, it’s clear these m15s will offer more than enough power to rival the best Alienware laptop options.
These are all the best AMD Ryzen-powered laptops
Looking for a new laptop but you’d prefer to have something powered by AMD Ryzen rather than Intel? The choice isn’t as wide, but fortunately, there are some excellent notebooks out there to choose from.
