Resident Evil Village DLC was announced at E3 2021 but no info just yet
Like previous Resident Evil games before it, Resident Evil Village is about to get some DLC. Capcom announced at its E3 2021 showcase on Monday that the horror title will be receiving upcoming DLC. However, there’s no info just yet.
According to the short sequence during the showcase, development has just begun on additional DLC “by popular demand.” This could mean that the game is so popular (it’s at the top of the NDP Group’s May charts) that DLC is warranted, or that it’s a piece of DLC that people have been asking for (Lady Dimitrescu DLC maybe?). Either way, more information is set to come soon.
We’re also still waiting for another piece of Resident Evil Village post-launch content: Re:Verse. This multiplayer mode is a six-player deathmatch that features previous characters from the series, including Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. It’s set to come out next month, but we don’t have an exact release date yet.
Resident Evil Village wowed us over here at Windows Central. Jez Corden, in his Resident Evil Village review, called the game a “celebration” of the series that came before it, as well as to horror as a genre. As you can imagine, we’re excited for any more time in the game, even though a lot of us have already played through it multiple times thanks to its great replayability.
