Recently, Capcom announced that a Resident Evil 3 remake is going to launch on Xbox One in April 2020. However, that’s not the only Resident Evil game in the works at the publisher. Today, a number of sources, most notably Eurogamer, confirmed that it would maintain the first-person perspective. The outlet said the following.
Capcom’s unannounced but inevitable Resident Evil 8 will retain the first-person gameplay of predecessor Resident Evil 7, according to a new report on the project from YouTube fan channel Residence of Evil. It also tallies with what Eurogamer has heard independently of the game from sources close to publisher Capcom.
What do you think of the decision to retain the first-person perspective? Were you hoping for a third-person game? Let us know.
