Realme will unveil its first laptop called Realme Book (Slim) on August 18. It will come with a thin, metallic design and have a total of three USB ports onboard – two USB-C on the left side and one USB-A on the right, which will be joined by a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Realme has confirmed that one of the USB-C ports will be Thunderbolt 4, while the other will be USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. And since the Book (Slim) will charge through USB-C, the number of ports could be an issue with potential customers, meaning they will have to resort to buying USB hubs if they want additional ports. Well, it looks like Realme will be ready with their own USB hubs when the laptop hits the shelves since the accessory has appeared in an image shared by a Realme employee.
Realme’s USB hub reminds us of Apple’s USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter, which supports USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI connectivity. And while it’s unclear if Realme’s solution will also feature an HDMI port, it’s safe to assume it will come with USB-A and USB-C ports.
The picture also shows us a yellow-colored Realme mouse with a silver scroll wheel and slim profile, but like the USB hub, details about the mouse are scarce right now.
It’s worth mentioning that back in February, Realme’s Narzo-branded gaming mouse had surfaced with a design reminiscent of Logitech’s G502 Hero, and it’s been six months since we heard anything about it, suggesting Realme’s gaming mouse still isn’t ready for launch.
However, since the image of the USB adapter and mouse has been shared by a Realme employee, and considering the timing of it, we believe Realme’s non-gaming mouse, with the USB hub, will debut next Wednesday alongside the Realme Book (Slim).
