Some of you may remember the original release of Real Heroes: Firefighter, a firefighting game with first-person shooter elements that initially launched on the Nintendo Wii in 2009. Since then, the game has seen multiple re-releases, including an HD remaster that is now available on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. One platform that has remained left out before now is Xbox, but Ziggurat Interactive is breaking the silence today with their latest announcement.

It’s official: Real Heroes: Firefighter HD is releasing on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One later in Summer 2021. This will hardly be considered the most exciting video game announcement in recent history (the first Halo Infinite beta is out now, for example), but it is interesting that Real Heroes: Firefighter HD is finally arriving on Xbox consoles after an extended years-long wait.

More interesting is the fact that Real Heroes: Firefighter HD is enjoying a resolution of up to 4K for the very first time — only on the Xbox version. Presumably, 4K gameplay will be limited to Xbox One X and Xbox Series X, but it is there for those who like their classics to be as crispy as possible.

Real Heroes: Firefighter HD will let you battle it out with realistic fires sometime later this year. At the moment, we don’t have any other information on the game like the exact release date, pricing, or if it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass. It’s probably safe to say that Real Heroes: Firefighter HD isn’t going to give the best Xbox games a run for their money, but it might be a great option for those looking for this kind of experience.
