Rainbow Six Siege ‘Six Invitational’ event gets teaser trailer

With Ubisoft preparing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege for its Year 5 content, the publisher has debuted a new two-minute CGI trailer preceding the upcoming Road to Six Invitational 2020 event. The previously-leaked mid-season celebration introduces a new Stadium-based multiplayer mode in the leadup to the game’s Six Invitational 2020 event, with its initial teaser trailer setting the scene for an Olympic-themed update.

Cryptically titled “The Program,” the teaser follows recent CGI trailers, expanding on Rainbow Six Operator lore, and centered on the training and conflicts throughout the counterterrorism unit. Current unit leader, Harry “Six” Pandey, discusses a Stadium restoration in preparation for the event, securing the foundations for the upcoming Stadium map.

The Road to Six Invitational 2020 follows a similarly-named event last year, now bolstered with increased resources from the Montreal studio. Ubisoft has provided countless teasers for the Six Invitational 2020 mode, dropping references in Year 4 imagery, the debut Battle Pass, and Operation Shifting Tides unveiling. And with this latest CGI trailer, it’s laying the foundations for an increasingly anticipated event.

The trailer wraps confirming availability from January 15 through February 16, stating players can access the mode every weekend until the Six Invitational 2020 concludes in Montreal.

Ubisoft promises further details on the Road to Six Invitational 2020 on January 15, ahead of release. Prior leaks already provide a glimpse at the new Stadium map, serving as a remix of key Rainbow Six landmarks from across the existing map pool. This map will host a fresh spin on the classic bomb mode, alongside new skins based on each Operator’s national sporting attire.

In the meantime, catch the latest on the leaked Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Pass, alluding to just six new Operators planned for 2020.
