PNY upgrades its gaming desktop RAM to 4,000MHz for serious PC builds
PNY announced the addition of 4,000MHz modules to its XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB family of desktop-class DDR4 RAM. This line-up of memory is PNY’s high-end solution for gamers and system builders seeking impressive performance in demanding applications. If you’re not familiar with the XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB RAM, it’s sleek-looking with a full RGB diffused bar of light atop the metal heat spreader.
The speed of RAM is important and 4,000MHz is a good number to have for 11th Gen Intel or AMD Ryzen 5000 series PC builds, but other factors are also important for choosing the best DDR4 RAM for your PC. The CAS latency rating for this new module is 18, which isn’t too bad at such high DDR4 RAM speeds. At the sweet spot of 3,200MHz, you can expect to see a CAS latency score of 16.
These speeds are achieved at a voltage of 1.35. The XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB kits also look great with the radiant dual-sided LED configuration with a huge frosted light guide lens. The best part is your motherboard will be able to control the lighting effects. The newest 4,000MHz module kits are available for purchase right now at participating retailers, including directly from PNY.

The new HP ZBook Studio G8 ‘the world’s most powerful laptop of its size’
There are laptops, and then there are workstations. The HP ZBook Studio G8 is the latter and quite possibly the most powerful 15.6-inch laptop “of its size.” Packing a new 11th Gen H-series processor, RTX 3080 GPU, 4K OLED with touch, and an RGB keyboard … this may be the laptop of the year. Here’s what you need to know about it.

Based on Willow Cove core microarchitecture on 10nm SuperFin the new chips feature Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, more PCIe lanes, and PCIe 4.0 on top of the “world’s fastest” single thread performance. Over one million of the chips have already shipped and are available in the…
Best H570 motherboards for 10th and 11th Gen Intel processors
Intel H570 motherboards aren’t quite as popular as the more expensive Z590 sibling, but that’s for good reason. This slightly less capable chipset is tailored to those who have less budget to spare on a motherboard, but it has more than enough in terms of technology to handle 10th and 11th Gen processors.
