Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville launches on Xbox One

The new Plants vs. Zombies game is probably the worst-kept secret in gaming. Everyone who played the multiplayer test leaked its existence weeks ago, and we even saw a trailer. While everyone expected the game to launch later this year, it’s available today if you purchase the Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville – Founder’s Edition.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville – Founder’s Edition costs $30 on the Microsoft Store, but if you’re an EA Access subscriber, you can get it for $27. It’s quite a hefty download because it comes in at a little over 12 GB on Xbox One. Luckily, it takes advantage of Microsoft’s latest console.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville runs at 4K resolution on Xbox One X and looks absolutely stunning. It’s like playing through a Disney Pixar movie. The shooting mechanics are smooth and seem to be much more precise than Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

According to EA, with the Founder’s Edition, you’ll play through six weeks of weekly content releases towards the October 18 release date. The digital-only Founder’s Edition is only available for purchase from September 4 to 30.
