Pixel Watch to feature higher RAM, storage than Galaxy Watch 4

A few days ago, Google univeiled its entire device ecosystem for the next year, including two smartphones, a tablet, a set of flagship wireless earbuds, and a smartwatch. Earlier this week, a report claimed that the Pixel Watch has a four-year-old Exynos processor. Now, more information about its internal hardware has leaked.

According to 9To5Google’s report, the Pixel Watch features the Exynos 9110 processor, a co-processor for lighter tasks, 2GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. In comparison, the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic have 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The Apple Watch Series 7 has 1GB RAM and 32GB of storage.

More RAM would make the software smoother and faster. 32GB of storage would be enough to download plenty of music for offline playback, apps, and watch faces. Other features of the Pixel Watch include a set of activity and fitness tracking sensors, including an accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, GPS, and SpO2 sensor.

The Pixel Watch will be launched later this year to compete with the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. While we don’t know whether Samsung will continue to use the Exynos W920 chipset with its upcoming watches, we expect the Galaxy Watch 5 to be faster and last longer than the Pixel Watch.
