Oppo Reno S rumored to have a 64MP camera and support for 65W charging
The Reno Ace is yet to launch in India, but rumor has it that Oppo has an even more premium flagship in the works – the Oppo Reno S. Like the Ace, it’s set to use the new 65W Super VOOC 2.0 fast charging tech.
However, the main camera on the back will upgrade to a 64MP sensor, up from 48MP. There’s no word on what will happen to the other cams (on the Ace, there’s 13MP tele + 8MP ultrawide cameras on the back, plus a 16MP selfie camera in a notch).
All this comes at a price, though, the rumor is that the Oppo Reno S will cost INR 40,000 when it comes out in the first week of December. That’s the launch price of the Reno 10x zoom, which arrived in India this May (specifically, the 6/128GB version).
Then there’s the Oppo K5 – it has a 64MP main cam (plus 8MP ultra wide), but it’s a mid-range phone powered by the Snapdragon 730 chipset and supporting 30W VOOC 4.0. However, this one isn’t available in India yet, so we don’t know its price there (in China it goes for the equivalent of INR 19,000). Presumably, the Reno S will have a flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855+ most likely.
