Oppo Find X2 promo video teases 120Hz display with motion compensation and HDR

We’re still ten days away from the official launch of the Oppo Find X2, but the company is keeping the hype alive by posting teasers (the phone was originally scheduled for a February 22 unveiling at the MWC). The latest focuses on the screen, which is clearly a key selling point of the upcoming smartphone.

Check out the video below, which is a combination of three short clips, each about a different feature. It starts with the 120Hz refresh rate. This is augmented by the third clip, which (if we understand it correctly) teases a form of motion compensation (you know, that high frame rate mode on TVs).

The middle clip promises 1 billion colors, which is another way of saying that the display will come with HDR10 support. Brian Shen, CEO of Oppo, tweeted as much, adding that the screen will go up to 1,200nits of brightness in HDR mode (HDR is also about darkness and light, not just colors).

It will have 1440p+ resolution and a screen to body ratio of 93.8%. The Oppo Find X2 will be unveiled on March 6.
