OnePlus Nord and Nord CE both receive updates with improved performance

Today OnePlus has released two software updates for its mid-rangers, one is going out to the original Nord, the other is headed to the Nord CE released this June.

The original Nord is getting OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 in all regions, although there’s a difference in the build: AC01AA for North America, AC01DA for India, and AC01BA for Europe.

This update comes with the August 2021 security patch level, as well as improved system stability, and a couple of new features for the Ambient Display: screenshot functionality, and a Bitmoji AOD, co-designed with Snapchat, “which will liven up the ambient display with your personal Bitmoji avatar”, the company says. This avatar will update throughout the day based on your activity and things happening around you.

In order to install the update, you’ll have to have at least 30% battery and a minimum of 3GB of free storage space.

The Nord CE, on the other hand, is in the process of receiving OxygenOS 11.0.6.6, with build code EB13DA for India, EB13BA for Europe, and EB13AA for North America.

The update improves system performance, adds the July 2021 security patches, upgrades Google Mobile Services to the 2021.06 version, and optimizes camera effects to take better photos.

As always both of these releases will go out incrementally, reaching a small percentage of users today, with a broader rollout to follow in a few days if no show-stopping bugs are found.
