OnePlus Game Space moves to the Play Store, gains Instant games support

The OnePlus Game Space is the latest OxygenOS app to be decoupled from the ROM and moved to the Play Store where it can enjoy faster updates. The app is the game center that comes pre-installed on OnePlus phones.

It offers the usual features like listing all games installed, blocking notifications and giving you quick access to optimizations like the Fnatic mode. But this latest version of the app actually adds two more features that sound quite useful.

First is Instant games, which allows you to play games without installing them first, a great way to try something new without the usual hassle. This feature is also available through Google’s own Play Games app.

The other helpful addition is Game Statistics. This shows which games you play the most (as if you didn’t know already), but more importantly shows how much battery was wasted by each game today and over the last week. This will help you track down the cause of spotty battery life.

Note that this app remains exclusive to OnePlus devices.
