We’re just three months away from when the next major Windows 10 feature update is expected to launch, but it appears the last update is still barely making a dent with its rollout. According to the latest monthly report from AdDuplex, the October 2018 Update is now on just over 12 percent of Windows 10 PCs.
That’s dwarfed by the dominance of the April 2018 Update, which is still sitting pretty at around 80 percent coverage. Still, it’s nearly double where the October 2018 Update sat in December, and it comes following an especially rocky launch, causing Microsoft to slow things down. The update only reached full availability in December before beginning its automatic phased rollout last week.
As with previous reports, AdDuplex’s numbers are based on a collection of around 5,000 Microsoft Store apps that use its SDK. While they’re useful for tracking trends, actual real-world numbers likely differ.
