nubia could launch Red Magic 8S Pro and gaming tablet on July 5

The nubia Red Magic 8S Pro appeared recently, confirming it will sport the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-type chipset with overclocked CPU. Multiple reports from China surfaced today, stating the new phone will arrive on July 5, alongside a gaming-oriented tablet, a first for the Red Magic series.

This isn’t the first time we have heard about an Android tablet from the ZTE-owned nubia brand, but now we have a date in two weeks to which we can look forward. There is barely any info about the slate. At the same time, the phone is expected to be the same as the nubia Red Magic 8 Pro – ultra-fast wired charging, active cooling fan and software performance optimizations.

The chipset is reportedly a new Qualcomm product that should be launched in the next couple of weeks. The name will likely be Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2, similar to last year’s Gen 1 mid-year changes. We are yet to hear anything about an upcoming summer update; we only know the Gen 3 flagship chipset is scheduled for late October.
