November 2021 security update reaches the Galaxy Z Fold 2

After releasing the November 2021 security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung has started rolling out the new security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The new software update is currently rolling out in various European countries, and it could expand to more regions soon.

The latest update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with firmware version F916BXXS2EUJ1. It is available in Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Spain, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the Baltic region, the Netherlands, the Nordic region, the UK, and Ukraine.

This update includes the November 2021 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. While we don’t have the official changelog yet, it might also include device stability improvements and general bug fixes.

If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 2 user in Europe, you can download the new software by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will get two more Android updates and monthly security patches.
