New vivo X30 teaser reveals a portrait camera able to match professional 50 mm shots
The launch date of the vivo X30 is still a well-kept secret, despite the phone being teased repeatedly day after day. The manufacturer posted today not one, not two, but three promo videos of the vivo X30 lineup on Weibo, revealing even more about the camera setup.
The phone will have a dedicated portrait shooter, in addition to its 5x periscope zoom camera and vivo claims it will match professional camera shots with a 50 mm lens.
The second video was posted to remind about the periscope super-telephoto lens. The clip is taking place at a party, and in a Gatsby-like way, a girl is spotted and observed from a distance from an unknown male. vivo’s message in this 15-second scene is that you can see clearly any object, even if it is far from you. There is even a demonstration how the live focus would work and a slogan that “everything is always in focus with the vivo X30”.
The third spot tells us about something we already knew – 60x zoom that will allow you to see even farther. A person goes on top of a cliff at the sea and just about when he is going to jump with his clothes, you realize the speedy zoom from 1x to 60x is only done by the camera software and not because he actually took the leap.
These three clips are already on Chinese TV and teasing the audience about the upcoming phone. So far we might lack any information when the X30 lineup will come, but when it does, we are expecting a phone with Exynos 980 chipset that has an integrated 5G modem and at least four shooters on the back. The UI will now be named JoviOS, instead of FuntouchOS, and will keep the base of Android.
