New Surface mouse and keyboard could be on the way according to FCC filings
A new Surface Mouse and Surface Keyboard could be on the way according to recently discovered FCC filings (via WindowsBlogItalia). The filings don’t show many details of the devices themselves, but the testing dates for the keyboard and wireless mouse are in July and August respectively. There’s a chance that the new hardware could be unveiled at the Surface event on October 2, 2019.
The filing for the keyboard and the filing for the mouse show testing dates, the dates that applications were received, and confidentiality statements asking certain details to not be revealed. One of the short-term confidential treatment pages requests that information remain confidential until February 10, 2020. This could indicate that the new hardware would come out long after the Surface event in October 2019, or it could just give Microsoft a window to reveal and release the device.
