New leaked specs suggest the Galaxy A24 won’t be downgraded after all

A more complete and seemingly accurate list of Galaxy A24 specifications has emerged, and thankfully, it doesn’t seem like the low-cost Galaxy A device will suffer the downgrades rumored before.

The first alleged leak concerning Galaxy A24 specifications landed a few months ago, and we were rather suspicious about it, as many things didn’t seem to follow Samsung’s usual logic.

For one, the original rumor claimed that the Galaxy A24 would have a downgraded 4,000mAh battery with 15W charging rather than a 5,000mAh unit. The main camera was also said to lose a couple of megapixels.

Thankfully, a new list of specifications from a more credible source — GalaxyClub — has just emerged, and we can view the Galaxy A24 in a better light.

No battery or main camera downgrades from the Galaxy A23

According to the new spec list, the Galaxy A24 will feature a 5,000mAh battery. And thankfully, it will retain 25W fast charging capabilities rather than dropping down to 15W.

In addition, the Galaxy A24 will reportedly get an upgraded 13MP selfie camera. The rear-facing array should consist of a 50MP primary shooter (instead of the rumored 48MP), a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and presumably a 2MP macro camera — although this tiny detail remains unclear.

The chipset choice is unknown, but it’s safe to assume that the Galaxy A24 will not carry the previously-rumored Exynos 7904 SoC. As to when Samsung will release the Galaxy A24, that’s a mystery. However, there have been signs pointing at a release that may be just around the corner, at least for India. The Galaxy A24 may also go on sale in at least some European countries.

And according to a different rumor that’s now making the rounds, the Galaxy A24 may be the last in the series, as Samsung might revamp its mid-range smartphone lineup with fewer models, which would exclude the Galaxy A25.
