New leak spills all Galaxy Tab S8 series details

A barrage of leaks has told us quite a bit about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series of high-end tablets. Everything ranging from its real-world images to prices has leaked online on several occasions. We can expect to see them in action alongside the Galaxy S22 series on February 8. Winfuture.de has now posted the mother lode of leaks that tells us pretty much everything we need to know about the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

As the entry-level variant, the Galaxy Tab S8 gets the smallest screen and battery of the lot, an 11-inch LTPS TFT panel with a WQXGA resolution (2,560 x 1,600), 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness. It will draw power from an 8,000mAh battery. Moving on to the Galaxy Tab S8+, we get a 12.7-inch WQXGA+ (2,800 x 1,752) Super AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 420 nits brightness, along with a 10,900mAh battery.

Lastly, the king of the hill Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has an eye-popping 14.6-inch WQXGA+ (2,960 x 1,848) AMOLED screen with the same specs as the plus model and an 11,200mAh battery, which sits in line with our exclusive report from earlier. All three batteries are expected to support 45W fast charging, but it is unclear if a supported charger will be provided in the box. The trio is expected to run Android 12 with One UI 4.1 out of the box on the software side.

All three models will run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, as confirmed by multiple Geekbench sightings. The Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Plus will offer 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra bump that up to 16GB and 512GB, respectively. Micro SD expansion is available on all three models. Wish we could say the same for the Galaxy S22 series, though.

Moving on, the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will employ two rear camera sensors, a 13MP (f/2.0) primary lens and a 6MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens. A 12MP (f/2.4) sensor will handle selfies and video calls on the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8+. On the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, it will be accompanied by a second 12MP (f/2.2) sensor, which is a part of the reason why it has an unsightly notch.
