New Galaxy A53 5G update brings improved camera, security

Last week, Samsung released the April 2022 security update to the Galaxy A53 5G in South Korea and India. Now, the update has been released for European Galaxy A53 customers.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A53 5G comes with firmware version A536BXXU1AVCC. It includes the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 vulnerabilities. As per the official changelog, the update also improves the camera stability of the phone.

The update is currently rolling out in Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. More countries could get the update within the next few days.

If you are a Galaxy A53 5G user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A53 5G a few weeks ago with Android 12-based One UI 4.1. The phone will get four major Android OS updates (up to Android 16).
