Netflix drops prices just as the Galaxy S23 series goes on sale
By pure coincidence, it seems, Netflix decided to lower the subscription fee in more than 100 markets, just as the Galaxy S23 series went on sale in more than 55 countries worldwide. The Netflix subscription price cuts are effective immediately and vary by region and subscription tier.
Whether you want to watch Netflix on a TV, a Galaxy tablet, or the new Galaxy S23 series doesn’t matter. Chances are that you will now pay less for the streaming service. The price cuts for Netflix are already live in territories including Central and South America, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Asia Pacific regions. Netflix has lowered basic tier subscription prices in these regions from 20% to 60%, depending on country. Premium tier subscriptions have also gone down in most markets (except for the Philippines, Vietnam, and Malaysia), with price reductions varying between 17% and 43%.
Samsung used to offer free (limited-time) Netflix subscriptions alongside select Galaxy devices, but it hasn’t done so for its more recent smartphone releases or the latest Galaxy S23 lineup.
