The Moto G82 debuted earlier this year with a 6.6” OLED display and a 50MP camera with OIS as its highlights. The phone is a key mid-range device for its maker across the globe and now that we finally got a unit we can see if it should make your shopping shortlist.
Under the hood we have a Snapdragon 695 platform, which is 5G-enabled. Our unit has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, although some markets also get an 8GB RAM version.
The White Lily color on our unit has a dotted pattern around the Moto logo, which is a cool addition, and we got a clear plastic protective case in the box that still lets you see it while providing some protection.
The OLED display promises 100% DCI-P3 gamut coverage and 120Hz refresh rate. However, there’s no in-display fingerprint scanner as Motorola decided to put the fingerprint scanner on the side, embedded in the power key.
On the upside the Moto G82 has a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD slot as an edge against its competitors.
The Moto G82 (8/128 GB) is usually INR23,999 in India, while the 6/128 GB version is around €330 in Europe. We will establish if it’s a bargain at either of those price points when we are done with the tests. Stay tuned!
