More Galaxy phones will get better camera lens switching, improved picture remaster

With the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung made several improvements to the camera. Those improvements include better stabilization, improved exposure, and smoother switching between camera lenses. Some of those new improvements are now coming to older Galaxy smartphones.

According to tipster GaryeonHan, the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Flip 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will get improved photo remastering in the Gallery app. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also switch smoothly between camera lenses.

These improvements will be delivered through software updates, but it isn’t clear exactly which update will bring these features to older Galaxy smartphones. It is also unclear when these updates will arrive.

With the One UI 5.1 update, Samsung has also introduced various other improvements, including quickly changing the selfie color tones and easier access to the Expert RAW app. More Galaxy smartphones will also get the Astrophotography mode, which debuted with the Galaxy S22 series.
