Mobvoi launches TicWatch Pro 3 LTE in Europe

Mobvoi has launched the LTE version of its TicWatch Pro 3 smartwatch in Europe.

Available in the UK, Germany and Spain, users will be able to receive calls using VoLTE and send/receive messages from the wrist. However, there’s no roll out destined for the US yet, although we suspect that will change if a carrier gets on-board.

And you won’t need to faff around with two numbers. It’s an exclusive partnership with Vodafone OneNumber, which means you share one phone number between your phone and smartwatch, so messages are seamlessly received when you’re untethered.

LTE also means that Google Assistant will work without your phone to hand, although beyond calls and messages Wear OS is limited in its use of connectivity.

There are no music streaming applications after the demise of Google Play Music, so that’s off the cards.

However, if you’re looking for a top Wear OS LTE smartwatch, this might be your best bet.

We did like the TicWatch Pro 3 in our in-depth review, which comes with the latest Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor, and a sizzling spec sheet.

The 1.4-inch 454×454 AMOLED display is one of the best out there. It has an SpO2 sensor and there’s built-in GPS – so LTE connectivity will mean you can take calls and messages while out for a run, if you so desire.

One of the key features is the impressive 72 hour battery life, although that’s likely to be cut significantly if you’re really making use of those 4G capabilities.

The TicWatch Pro 3 LTE is set to cost £329.99 and can be picked up on Amazon. However, getting the LTE smarts is exclusive to Vodafone.
