Microsoft’s metallic Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One Wireless controller is king

Microsoft releases custom-designed Xbox One Wireless controllers for all the major games, and Cyberpunk 2077 is no exception. As expected, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One Wireless Controller comes rocking a metallic design (and feel) with plenty of elements that make it a must-have for any Cyberpunk fan.

Microsoft currently has the Cyberpunk 2077 controller up for pre-order, alongside the custom Xbox One X console. We’ve been lucky enough to get an early sample of this megalopolis relic, and we’re bringing you some ace high-res shots.

We’re just as stoked as you all are for CD Projekt RED’s upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, but the official branded Xbox Wireless Controller from Microsoft adds a few Rolls-Royce jet engines to the hype train, thanks to the starking industrial design with a beautiful metallic finish on one side.

The metallic portion of the left-side is dedicated to the in-game Arasaka faction, much like the gamepad itself has undergone a cybergenic implant of some kind. The right side of the controller has an etched “No Future” graffiti as if someone literally picked up your controller in a jealous rage and keyed it. It’s subtle but brilliant. The left bumper and trigger are red, while the right is entirely dark grey.

The buttons have a nice finish to them, and just like other recently released Xbox One Wireless Controllers, there are the usual upgrades like the textured grips. There’s a 3.5mm jack at the front alongside the proprietary Xbox port. It’s a gorgeous controller, especially if you dig industrial design.

Just like the standard controller, you’ve got micro-USB connectivity, Bluetooth for PCs and phones, the proprietary Xbox wireless signal for consoles and compatible dongles and laptops, and two AA batteries bundled inside the box.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox controller costs $75 and is a little more pricey than the standard controller, so you probably won’t buy a few of these for a LAN party event, but if you want a unique gamepad for your sessions, this is one to shortlist.
