Microsoft unveils Xbox One Phantom Magenta and Arctic Camo controllers

Microsoft has unveiled the “Phantom Magenta” Xbox One controller, the latest limited-time colorway headed to the wireless gamepad. The third entry in its special edition Phantom design series adopts a dark pink outer shell, retaining the signature translucent gradient and exposed internals. That couples with similarly-toned buttons and thumbsticks, making for a regal spin on the stock peripheral.

In addition to the new magenta-infused controller, Microsoft also revealed a new entry in its camo series. The Arctic Camo controller offers a new take on Microsoft’s white camo design, pairing it with a translucent effect that gives a peek at its internals. Microsoft says that Arctic Camo controller will launch exclusively at Walmart and the Microsoft Store in May, and it’s available to preorder for $70 starting today.

As with all modern Xbox One controllers, the Phantom Magenta and Arctic Camo designs feature the standard offering with a streamlined, textured design and onboard Bluetooth capability. And while Xbox Series X lines on the horizon, Microsoft has confirmed all Xbox One controllers will remain compatible with its next-generation hardware, future-proofing your purchase for years to come.
