Microsoft makes Game Pass irresistible in India with 30% price cut
India is a huge market for gaming, and that fact isn’t lost on Microsoft. The Redmond giant has undertaken several initiatives to boost Game Pass adoption in the country, the latest being a generous offer where it gave away eight months’ worth of access to the service for absolutely free.
With two months left to go on that offer, Microsoft is now trying to retain a bulk of the users by introducing new pricing for Game Pass in India. The Game Pass Ultimate plan now costs ₹499 ($6.54) in the country, down from ₹699 ($9.17), and the PC and console versions of Game Pass are now down to ₹349 ($4.58), an insane 30% decrease from their usual price of ₹499 ($6.54).
Xbox Live Gold is also getting a price cut to ₹349 ($4.58) in the country. Here’s the full breakdown of the new Game Pass pricing in India:
