Microsoft launches LinkedIn Podcast Network

LinkedIn is piloting its own podcast network. Simply called the “LinkedIn Podcast Network,” the platform will feature content from career influencers and industry executives, including Morra Aarons-Mele, Rufus Griscom, Mita Mallick, and Dee C. The network launched today, though some content on it won’t become available until later this year. In addition to having content that should interest business professionals, the network focuses on interacting with show hosts.

The LinkedIn Podcast Network will provide a way for influencers and creators to interact with listeners, including posts, videos, newsletters, and LinkedIn Live events. The company highlights that podcast hosts will be able to draw an audience from the social media platform’s 810 million members.

Podcasts from the new network will discuss topics such as managing mental health, the hiring process, and understanding technology. Reid Hoffman and Ben Casnocha, who are both well-known on LinkedIn, will host The Start-Up of You. That shows launches in spring and focuses on personal entrepreneurship.

Rather than an entirely new platform, The LinkedIn Podcast Network is a collection of podcasts that will be available across a range of platforms.

All content from the LinkedIn Podcast Network will be available through LinkedIn, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and the best podcast apps for Windows. Episodes will be available directly through LinkedIn for those that follow podcast hosts and subscribe to their weekly newsletters.
