LG Innotek is shutting down its factory in Gumi, South Korea in order to prevent a coronavirus outbreak. The report claims one worker has been diagnosed with the coronavirus and LG proceeded to shut the factory down Sunday, March 1, to disinfect the facility.
Samsung similarly shut down its Gumi factory due to a confirmed case of coronavirus. That factory is tasked with building Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy S20 units.
LG Innotek is the main supplier of camera modules for Apple’s iPhone as well as other components.
Gumi is in the same province as the city of Daego, where most of South Korea’s coronavirus cases have been confirmed.
