Lenovo’s IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is $370 at Walmart ahead of Black Friday

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14 received high marks in our review, all thanks to a focus on battery life, sturdy convertible design, and AMD Ryzen 4000 processor (CPU) performance. This laptop is always in the budget range, but thanks to a killer Black Friday advance deal at Walmart, you can save a whopping $370 off the regular $699 price. That brings the total down to just $329.

Seeing a $329 price tag for a laptop isn’t always reassuring, and you’re no doubt left with some unanswered questions before buying. Is it built well? Is it durable? Does it perform as it should? In the case of the IdeaPad Flex 5 14, you’re actually looking at a laptop closer to the $700 range that’s been heavily discounted. The model on sale here isn’t particularly high-end in terms of performance, but it should fare well for standard productivity work like word processing, web browsing, email, and streaming.

It has inside a quad-core AMD Ryzen 3 4300U CPU, 4GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM, and a 128GB M.2 PCIe solid-state drive (SSD) that can be upgraded after purchase. The 14-inch display has a 1920×1080 resolution, and it’s touch-enabled to go along with the convertible design. The lid can rotate 360 degrees for tent, stand, and tablet modes as needed.

Extra features like dual top-firing speakers, comfortable keyboard, large Precision touchpad, camera shutter, slim bezel, and all-day battery life already make the regular price of this laptop quite a deal. Considering it’s more than half its regular price, anyone looking for a device to have around the house for casual use is going to be hard-pressed to find a better deal.
