Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano leaks, brings first 16:10 display, 5G, more
If you’ve wondered what Lenovo has up its sleeve for the rest of 2020, a new leak sheds some light on the company’s launch plans. Tweeted out by prominent leaker WalkingCat, the leak shows off several laptops planned for Lenovo’s consumer and commercial lineup, including several that have already launched or been announced. However, one sticks out above the rest: the ThinkPad X1 Nano.
The most eye-catching aspect of the ThinkPad X1 Nano is that it would be the company’s first laptop with a 16:10 display aspect ratio. The move towards taller displays has been a trend with PC manufacturers in recent years, most notably with Dell’s latest XPS updates. The ThinkPad line adopting this would further cement the move as more than a trend.

Beyond the taller display, the ThinkPad X1 Nano slide also touts its weight. The X1 Nano is slated to be the lightest ThinkPad ever at under 1Kg. That’s packed into a chassis that is 14.8mm thin, along with “ultra-narrow” bezels that offer an 85 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Beyond those highlights, you can expect a 13-inch 2K display at 450 nits and with optional touch. According to the leaked slide, the ThinkPad X1 Nano will run on Intel’s Tiger Lake platform with 16GB of RAM, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, Dolby Atmos speakers, and a 48Whr battery.
Notably, the slide also mentions 5G and 4G connectivity, so the thin-and-light PC will be easy to use as a work machine on the go.
