Lenovo Tab Extreme will be the first tablet to sport MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 SoC

Lenovo is taking Android tablets more and more seriously by the day, it seems. It already had an interesting offering in the P12 Pro, but that’s apparently due for a successor, and this has now leaked courtesy of the Google Play Console.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the upcoming Lenovo Tab Extreme. The name is, perhaps surprisingly, rather adequate here, as this will be the first ever tablet to sport MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 high-end chipset.

And that’s not the only top shelf feature on offer. The Tab Extreme also has a display with 3000×1876 resolution (though the size is unknown), and 8GB of RAM in one iteration. It will run Android 13 from day one, which is great to see, but it’s still very unclear when said ‘day one’ will occur.

If it launches before May (when the Pixel Tablet is expected to drop), then it may be the first Android tablet to launch running the latest version of the OS. The Lenovo Tab Extreme has the model number TB570FU, and as you can see from the picture of it that was associated with the aforementioned listing, it’s got very slim bezels all-round (for a tablet), with the front-facing camera barely fitting inside the top one. Other specs will hopefully be revealed soon, now that the floodgates are open.
