Leaked Galaxy Buds+ retail box confirms 2X battery life gains, dual drivers

‘The Galaxy Buds+ will have better battery life than the ongoing model.’ You’ve probably heard this a couple of times before, but now this detail has been all but officially confirmed by Samsung.Live photos detailing the Galaxy Buds+ retail package have been shared by @rquandt on Twitter ahead of the product’s unveiling scheduled for next week. Among some of the features described on the back of the box lies information about battery life and, you’ve guessed it, the Galaxy Buds+ are officially rated for up to 11 hours of music playback on a single charge. That’s almost double the battery life of the ongoing Galaxy BudsAs we’ve reported before, Samsung seemingly achieved this by fitting a larger battery in both the Buds+ and the charging case. Each bud should now have an 85mAh battery, up from the 58mAh units that were used before. This year, Samsung SDI wants to enter the coin cell battery market and supply key wearable manufacturers, including OEMs from China. Up until now, Samsung’s wireless headphones have been powered by batteries from third-party suppliers, but there is a chance that the Galaxy Buds+ have switched gears and feature in-house coin cells developed by Samsung SDI. This has yet to be confirmed, but we’ll find out more once the first disassembly videos make their way onto YouTube.

Other than that, the Galaxy Buds+ retail package confirms the Sky Blue color option we’ve been telling you about since last year, as well as the earbuds’ dual-driver audio setup. The box also details its contents including 3 sets of wingtips, 3 sets of earbud tips, a USB-C cable, a quick start guide, and the charging case. Are you planning on getting the Galaxy Buds+ once they go live?
