Leaked Apple Watch Pro render gives us our best look yet at the upcoming smartwatch

A leaked render appears to accurately show off the design of the upcoming Apple Watch Pro.

The 3D image of the smartwatch, first published by 91Mobiles and backed up by Bloomberg’s ever-reliable Mark Gurman, features many of the same design hallmarks we’ve seen rumored over the last few months, including an extra button and a flat display.

This means it’s likely our best look yet at the device Apple is expected to announce alongside the Watch Series 8 and Watch SE 2 at its 7 September ‘Far Out’ event.

Given that we’re now so close to the expected announcement, plenty of details are beginning to leak out, such as the leaked Apple Watch Pro accessories from earlier this week.

The only question that really remains, then, is what exactly that new button on the left-hand side will actually be used for. Gurman, as seen below, hints that this is likely to be for the user to decide.

On the other side of the watch case, it also appears that the Digital Crown and Side button will now slightly protrude out, which could make them easier to access during tracked activity.

The display, as appeared true from the leaked protective cases, is also expected to be much flatter than the Series 7 and previous models, though the outer edge of the case will still be rounded off.

While this is indeed very likely to be an accurate depiction of Apple’s first-ever Pro smartwatch, we should also temper this slightly by noting that nothing is set in stone until the official announcement.

It was only last year, after all, that the widely accepted rumor of flattened-off edges for the Series 7 proved to be bogus.
