Latest Pixel Buds Pro update reveals Head tracking is coming

With the January update, Google brought native support for Spatial Audio to the Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, and 7 Pro. This adds directional filters to sound and simulates a surround sound experience when listening to music or watching content from supported apps. Now, the latest update of the Google Pixel Buds app brings a hidden menu called “Spatial Audio”.

The menu, discovered by 9to5Google contains toggles to enable Spatial Audio and Head Tracking features. There’s also a demo built right into the app’s settings to preview what enabling the feature sounds like. A disclaimer at the bottom of the menu reminds you the feature only works with supported content.
