Latest Microsoft Edge Dev channel update a candidate for next Beta release

Microsoft’s latest weekly update for the Microsoft Edge Dev channel is now available. This week, Microsoft is mostly focused on bug fixes as it looks to patch things up ahead of the next Beta channel release.

“You may notice that this is only one build away from last week’s Dev, and that’s because this is our candidate for our next Beta release, so we want to make sure it’s extra polished before we release it there,” Microsoft said in its post announcing the build. “However, that also means it’s a pretty light week this week in terms of notable changes.”

Here’s a full look at what is fixed in this release:

There is a known issue to be aware of in this build, which causes Edge to occasionally launch with a blank window. According to Microsoft, if you launch another window and don’t see the issue, you shouldn’t see it again. If other windows you open are also blank, however, then you have to disable Application Guard to get it working.

Another build is planned to be released later this week to address the issue, Microsoft says.
